It might just be me, but incandescent light bulbs have always caused an intense sense of wonder in me. Having suffered little changes from their victorian-flavored invention, they are both modern and vintage. Such an ordinary item acquiring so many connotations is amazing to say the least: We can recall the cartoon light bulb floating over the head of someone who has an idea, and there definitely is something unsettling about a lonely light bulb hanging from the ceiling, throwing its amber tint towards the furniture.
